Certified instructors* and Co-instructors** are licensed for three years*** to offer the 8-hr CF2F course to staff at their agency.
*Instructors can teach the CF2F course on their own if needed.
**Co-instructors must always team-teach the course with a CF2F Instructor.
***Certification can be renewed for another three years by passing an online exam.
The purpose of CF2F is: (a) to educate corrections professionals on the nature of Corrections Fatigue, its facets and its precursors; and (b) to present strategies for deterring it and for boosting staff well-being and professional growth, resulting in Corrections Fulfillment.
CF2F includes the following components:
- Exploration of challenges of corrections work and their negative impact on staff, their family members, and the workforce culture.
- Examination of strategies to counter or prevent Corrections Fatigue and its adverse effects on the health of individual staff and correctional agencies.
- Identification of individual and organizational strategies to pursue professional satisfaction and engagement of the correctional workforce in the midst of high-stress working conditions often encountered in corrections.
Please note that this is NOT a Master Instructor training. Certified Instructors are NOT licensed to train other Instructors. They are licensed to offer the CF2F course to staff at their agency.
